Rep. Max Rose Fires Back at James Dolan, You Think You Can Scare Me, Bro?!

TMZSports.com
“Just sell the damn team and shut up!”
That’s U.S. Congressman Max Rose clapping back at NY Knicks owner James Dolan after the billionaire donated money to his political opponent … after Rose called for Dolan to sell the team!!
It’s a feud that escalated quickly right here on TMZ Sports — and it’s only getting nastier.
Rose — a decorated war veteran and lifelong Knicks fan — told us he’s sick and tired of watching the Knicks suck … and publicly called for Dolan to sell the damn team already!
Dolan — who’s banned fans from Madison Square Garden for urging him to sell — clearly saw the clip and immediately began a campaign to support Rose’s opponent, GOP Congressional candidate Nicole Malliotakis.
According to the NY Post, Dolan sent an email to friends bashing Rose and trying to rally support for Malliotakis.
“Max Rose thinks he can make our team and my ownership his political platform,” Dolan said in the email obtained by The Post.
“I need to let him know that we will not stand for this. The best way to do this is to help his opponent. He is in a tight race for the US Congress in Staten Island. … Please join me in helping Nicole defeat Max Rose for Congress.”
So, we called up Rep. Rose … and yeah, he had some thoughts!
“Well, we all know that Jim Dolan has the Midas Touch … so I’m not exactly too concerned here. Look, I didn’t make it political, he did! My message was simple: for the good of New York City to make the Knicks great again — sell the damn team!”
“Think about what’s been happening in the 21st century. On an aggregate basis, the Knicks have the worst record in the NBA and nonetheless, they have spent the most! What more signs do you need that this guy has been a world failure?”
“They’ve gone through over 10 coaches, a massive amount of executive staffs, trading players left and right. The only constant has been Jim Dolan. So, let’s sell! This has been a tough year but in 2021, New York can turn the corner. Jim Dolan sell, we can say goodbye to Bill De Blasio and we can finally beat this pandemic.”
There’s more … Rose also brings up Dolan’s beef with NYK great Charles Oakley and warns Dolan, “I will not be silenced.”
In other words, if Dolan hated the other video … this is REALLY gonna piss him off.

Watch Regina King Crash Andra Day’s Post-Win Interview

If anyone was having the night of their lives during the 2021 Golden Globes, it was probably Andra Day. After Andra made history as the second Black woman to ever win best actress in a motion picture drama, Regina King, along with Aldis Hodge and her dog Cornbread, crashed the 36-year-old’s Access Hollywood interview. Andra’s reaction to seeing Regina was priceless. I mean, how else would you react to being in her presence besides absolutely losing it? After exchanging hugs and fawning over each other, the pair sat down so Andra could continue her interview.
When asked how proud she was of the Golden Globe winner, Regina had this to say: “Oh my God, are you kidding me?!” Apparently, Regina and Aldis found out in real time that Andra was staying at their hotel, and they set out to find her. One of their cutest moments included Regina fixing Andra’s jewelry as Andra said, “This cost too much money. I’m not trying to get fined.” In a more serious moment from the interview, Andra discussed how important her history-making win was: “I just want to keep seeing this platform, keep expanding, where it’s not a conversation anymore.” You can watch Regina and Andra’s full exchange above.

Bobby Shmurda Cops Diamond Pendant that Glows in the Dark

Bobby Shmurda just ripped a page out of his pal Rowdy Rebel‘s playbook … copping a $100k chain that glows in the dark.
Rowdy Rebel hit up celeb jeweler Eric Da Jeweler to create something special that he could gift Bobby to celebrate finally getting out of prison. Eric came up with this beauty … a pendant and chain encrusted with a whopping 75 carats of emerald-cut diamonds!!!

Talk about your name in lights … all that ice spells out SHMURDA, with a glow-in-the-dark border outlining it.
We’re told Eric gave it to Bobby right after he got out last week — ’cause, as everybody knows, the fresh-outta-prison starter pack must include crazy bling.
As you might remember … Rowdy Rebel’s demon chain was waiting for him when he got out back in December. Eric was also the brains behind that chain … which featured 50 carats of diamonds.
As we reported … Bobby was sprung last week, getting out 10 months earlier than expected.

Chloé Zhao Makes History at the 2021 Golden Globe Awards

Nomadland director Chloé Zhao‘s Golden Globe win on Sunday night marked a series of historic firsts. She’s not only the first Asian woman and woman of color to take home the best director win but also the second woman ever to win a Golden Globe for directing. The first was Barbra Streisand for her work in Yentl back in 1983, which means it took a shocking 38 years for another woman to win the category.
“This is why I fell in love with making movies and telling stories, ’cause it gives us a chance to laugh and cry together and it gives us a chance to learn from each other and have more compassion for each other.”
And in a long-overdue first, the Hollywood Foreign Press Association nominated three women in the best director category: Zhao, Regina King for One Night in Miami, and Emerald Fennell for Promising Young Woman. In Zhao’s acceptance speech, the Chinese-born filmmaker thanked her fellow nominees for making “beautiful, beautiful movies, the Nomadland family, as well as the nomads who shared their stories with the movie’s team.
She went on to share a quote from one nomad from the film, Bob Wells, about compassion. “Compassion is the breakdown of all the barriers between us. A heart-to-heart bonding. Your pain is my pain. It’s mingled and shared between us,” she read. “Now this is why I fell in love with making movies and telling stories, ’cause it gives us a chance to laugh and cry together and it gives us a chance to learn from each other and have more compassion for each other, so thank you everyone who made it possible for me to do what I love,” she continued. While Zhao is well known in the indie film circuit, Nomadland, which also won best motion picture on Sunday evening, marks her biggest project thus far. Watch her full acceptance speech ahead.
